In the US, the #1 single was "You Light Up My Life" by Debby Boone on my birthday (I looked this up elsewhere not that long ago).
However, I prefer to point out that the #1 album in the UK at the time was "Never Mind the Bollocks..." by the Sex Pistols. Much cooler.
