Some nice lady was beaten and raped in her house in Marietta this evening. The dude even took off in her car. Police are still looking for the waste of cellular respiration.
But at least they busted those scalpers this afternoon. Fucking scalpers.

hey man, don't talk smack about the MPD. I friggin love those guys. They work very hard for about $10 per hour. Lucky them. Any opportunity they have to chase someone or bust a guy's ass, they're all over it. I heart the MPD.
I think that call was technically in County jurisdiction :)

oh yea. I forgot to say that they absolutely HATE HATE HATE stupid calls. For example, loud parties, barking dogs, damage to property, theft from vehicle, illegal parking, abandoned vehicles, lost cell phone, fender benders, discharging fireworks, "my kid is disrespectful," and neighbor disputes are the calls where we all roll our eyes for. I think that most officers would rather take a crap in public than go to most of those calls, but if you ask for an officer, you get an officer.
No blood, no bullets, no dispatch is the way we as dispatchers wish it would be, but nope. We're the ones that have to tell these poor underpaid kids to go to the bullshit calls.
What's really great is that these people that call in these bullshit waste of officer time calls are the same ones that call back 10 minutes later demanding to speak to a supervisor because an officer hasn't shown up yet.
I'll try to remember that when they're beating the fuck out of me.

No, seriously. Those guys are okay, it was just the news that night. It probably wasn't the cops as much as it was the shitty ATL television news media that got my panties in a wad.
